I recently discovered a bunch of those ‘debit dollar’ tickets from IKEA, and being the candle hoarder that I am, I had to get myself to a store. Half an hour later, I exited the huge blue box with 35 candles and an idea. Every time I go shopping at the international superstore, I think about Lisbeth Salander and her famed shopping spree. It’s well known that after making off with several million kronor, Lisbeth can afford to buy an apartment and furnish it however she wants. And like any good twenty-something would, she heads off to IKEA. The list adds up to approximately 90,000 kronor, which by today’s trade value amounts to US$15,455.70.
So after much longer than it takes to get through the showrooms, I give you Lisbeth’s complete set of purchases from IKEA. Here’s hoping that it’s enjoyable.
Got some inspiration yet? I know I have to go back now,
